Built-in ice maker repair is a different job from swapping a freezer-wall module. Undercounter machines make ice in a dedicated cabinet. They need a drain (gravity or pump), ventilation, and a clean condenser. Leesburg luxury kitchens in Raspberry Falls, Beacon Hill, and River Creek hide these units behind panels. Panel removal is part of the visit; scratching millwork is a real risk if someone rushes.
Brands you will see: U-Line, Sub-Zero, Marvel-class units, GE Monogram, KitchenAid undercounter, and some Viking / Thermador companion pieces. Failures include dirty condensers (pets + island kickplates), failed pumps, scale on evaporators, and door gaskets that let the bin melt.
Access and HOA notes
Gated communities may require a gate code. Islands with tight toe-kicks need the unit pulled forward. Mention pets and finished floors so the contractor can protect them. We do not claim factory training on any built-in brand.
