Ice dispenser repair is for the user-facing half of the system. Ice may be piling up in the bucket while the chute stays frozen, the flap stays shut, or the paddle switch dies. Leesburg French-door kitchens see chute ice-ups after humid summers and after doors left cracked during parties.
Typical parts: dispenser switch, solenoid, ice door / flapper, chute heater, control board, and the crushed/cubed selector. Water dispenser issues often share the same UI board but a different valve path - mention whether water still works.
Do not chip ice out of the chute with a knife
That is how liners crack and heaters get cut. A contractor can defrost the chute and test the heater. If the ice maker itself is empty, start on the not making ice page instead.
